Holy Communion completes initiation into the family of Jesus, the Church. This is the Sacrament of our unity and sends us forth to live what we proclaim – that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead and we bring his healing, mercy, and love to everyone. Children usually receive Holy Communion when they are 9 years old.
